Tad’s Record is at it again….. this time with special tribute being paid to Studio One through the sweet voice of Lincoln ‘Sugar’ Minott. The nineteen-track CD produced by Tad’s Record features some of Studio One’s biggest sellers over the years.
Who better to sing such an album than Sugar Minott, whose talent was unearthed by Sir Coxone Dodd when his group ‘African Brothers’ first went to Studio One to record? Sugar was then encouraged to go solo and, armed with new lyrics to old classic beats, he showed that he was more than up to the challenge.

He has never looked back, gaining popularity in Europe, North America and Japan even more than in his homeland. Eventually, Sugar parted company with Studio One after releasing hit after hit, including ‘Never Give Up’, ‘Man Hungry’, ‘Lovers Race’, Ghetto Girl and ‘Dance Hall Style.’

He went on to form his own Youth Man Promotion/Black roots organization which today is still going strong.
